Don’t let the “butter” in the title fool you – this delicious spread is completely healthy and incredibly easy to make. It is gluten free, dairy free and has no added sugar. It is also versatile and can used as a substitute for yoghurt in smoothies, put on apples and celery as a healthy snack or eaten all by itself. What you need:

  • 1 cup of raw walnuts
  • 1 table spoon of honey
  • 2 table spoons of coconut oil
  • 1 table spoon of cinnamon
  • A pinch of salt

What you need to do:

  • Add all ingredients into a food processor and blend and hey presto, you have your butter.
  • Add water, when and if required to get a smooth, soft consistency – this will depend on the quality and type of processor you’re using.
